How do I create a new budget?

You can add a new budget by going to My Budgets and then clicking on Add a New Budget.  You can have as many budgets as you want, which allows you to try out different scenarios.

 

How can I share my budget?

You can share your budget by clicking on the envelope icon in My Budgets.  You can also download your budget by clicking on the Export button.  

 

How do I enter in my actuals?

Updating your budget with your actual expenses and income is easy to do.  While in My Budgets, find the budget you want add your actual expenses and income and click on the Actuals button. 

 

Who built the Budget Wizard? 

The Budget Wizard was developed by the National Endowment for Financial Education® (NEFE®).  NEFE is a nonprofit foundation located in Denver, Colorado.   You can find more information about NEFE at www.nefe.org.

 

Why is the Budget Wizard free?

NEFE is able to provide all of our resources for free, and with no advertising, because we have our own endowment that financially supports all of our activities and programs. 

 

How can I delete my account?

Email your username to cashcourse@nefe.org with “delete my Budget Wizard account” in the subject line and we will delete your account.
